Our in-house centre cook provides a nutritionally balanced menu prepared on our premises each day.
We love the aromas coming from the kitchen, especially the smell of baked goods made fresh onsite.
Our Approach to Cuisine & Nutrition
Our fresh fruit and produce are sourced from our edible seasonal gardens and local suppliers.
All meals follow a menu supported by Canada’s Food Guide and are prepared fresh on the premises by our experienced Centre Cook.
To increase nutritional benefits, we reduce the amount of white carbohydrates and sugar given to children. Instead, we use a lot of brown rice, wholemeal flour, homemade vegetable spreads for toast, etc.
A progressive approach to mealtime is provided to accommodate individual needs.
Family-style meals are served for children that help develop the amount of food that is right for them from the choices available, and promote social development through mealtimes.
Children have opportunities to taste and cook special meals and snacks during cultural and national celebrations, like Classic Thanksgiving menus, Valentines Day Desserts, and more.
Water is always available and encouraged.
Menus, Allergies, and Dietary Preferences
It is important to us your child’s Allergies and Dietary Preferences are met during the day with us.
We understand there are many children with food intolerances and minor to severe food allergies.
Only food sourced by FSCC is given to children to protect children with allergies.
We ask that no outside food is brought into our centre. Alternative menus are available to accommodate allergies and dietary requirements.
Four Seasons Childcare provides a nutritionally balanced seasonal menu which rotates every four weeks.
